Much like many other people and companies we recently got involved with the 10 Year Challenge to celebrate and appreciate our journey as a business and how far we have come.

The purpose of the #10yearchallenge which has taken social media by storm is to highlight your progress or how you have developed over the last decade. The photos we used for this challenge were one of our website as it was 10 years ago, and one of our website as it is today, and its shocking how very different they are. Having taken part we thought we would take the time to summarise what has changed for us over this time.

10 years ago, Tiny Box Company was in its infancy and was just a few years old. With just a handful of staff, our MD and founder, Rachel Watkyn, had not long secured investment on BBC’s Dragons Den from Peter Jones and Theo Paphitis who had recognised the demand and potential of Tiny Box Company.

We started as a business offering less than 100 gift box products, and our range now spans across 700 items in various colours and sizes ensuring we can cater to the needs of all of our customers. We no longer just provide gift boxes, we offer gift bags, ribbon, tissue paper and much, much more. In addition, we offer hot foil printing on boxes, bags and printed ribbon to give that beautiful branded finish.

10 year challenge

Over the decade Tiny Box Company has gone from strength to strength and now employs around 50 staff through both the acquisition of Tiny Box Maker and organic growth. We have relocated three times during this period and we continue to grow, with an additional new warehouse and offices having just been taken on to allow for new lines and products to be added.

Throughout our growth and expansion over the last decade we have kept our core values of sustainability and ethical living at the very heart of the business, ensuring we recycle as much as we possibly can, in any different ways, in order to minimise our impact on the environment. We try to provide packaging which is as eco-friendly as possible whilst not compromising on quality and aesthetics.

So that is a summary of our journey so far and what the challenge means for us. Who knows where we might be in another 10 years and how we will have developed?!
